Miracle From a Fall
One day walking in my back yard I noticed a limb hanging from a tree. The limb hung over the garden where my wife worked. The limb posed a danger to my wife so I decided to remove it. I went to the garage, picked up my saw and ladder and returned to the tree. After I set the ladder in place at the base of the tree, I climbed to the second step from the top to reach the limb. I cut the limb and threw it down to the ground. I decided to trim other limbs, while on the ladder. I grabbed a limb, held on to it and began to saw. All of a sudden the saw broke through, the limb fell to the ground and took me with it. I landed on my chest, neck and face. My face dug into the ground. Laying on the ground I realized I had no feeling below my neck. A devastating, strange thought enter my mind. How will my wife take care of a paraplegic? How will I handle being a paraplegic? In a few seconds, my life turned upsidedown. I cannot describe all the thoughts which entered my mind.
Then, God brought me back from my feelings of pity. Feeling in my body began to return. I felt tinkling all over. I did not know the outcome of the fall, but I loved being able to feel again.
My wife called the paramedics. They came, checked the basics, put a collar on my neck, gave me oxygen and took me to the Hospital Emergency Room.
The Emergency Room doctor ordered a series of tests to determine the extent of my injuries. Later he came into the room with the test results. My fall compressed my spine and broke my neck in three places. He told me most patients with this type of injury do not survive. "You are very fortunate to be alive!". I stayed in the hospital for a few days and went home to recouperate until surgery could be scheduled. I thanked God for His miraculous power working again in my life. I was alive, not because of the doctors, but because God saved me from the fall.
(The Miracles Continue)
One week later while standing by the kitchen counter, I fainted. When a awoke a few minutes later, I heard one of the paramedics say, "I can hardly feel a pulse." My wife called them when she saw I was unconscious. They placed me on a stretcher, loaded me into the ambulance and rushed me to the hospital. Once again I found myself in an emergency room. The doctors ordered xrays and other tests to determine why I fainted. Eventually, the doctor came in, pulled up a chair and sat down. I knew the news wasn't good because doctors do not sit down to talk to you. He told me I had multiple pulmonary embolisms in my longs, which could kill me. He said, "You are a very fortunate man to be alive. Most people who have these do not live." First, I fell out of a tree and broke my neck and lived. Next, I developed multiple embolisms in my lungs and lived and the doctor says I was a fortunate man. I was more than fortunate, I was blessed! They began treatment immediately and I remained in the hospital for ten days while they worked to clear my lungs. I left the hospital alive and well, thanks to the Lord. God performed another miracle in my life and I live today to serve Him. To God be the glory!!
